Pharmaceuticals Drafting and prosecution of patents in the areas of pharmaceutical chemistry, formulations, and plant extracts.

Biotechnology and Molecular Biology Opinion work, litigation support, drafting and prosecution of patent applications relating to gene technologies, enzymology, diagnostics, cell culture technology.
Carel has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, due diligence investigations, IP audits, settling ownership disputes, drafting licensing agreements, and opposition work.  Carel has given frequent presentations and radio talks on patents in general and biotechnology patents in particular.
