Prior to joining Wray and Associates in 2008, Craig worked in the United Kingdom as a senior patent attorney for a multinational biotech company, developing successful global IP strategies for a wide range of technologies in the pharma and biotech fields. Craig has also had experience managing the IP department for a publicly listed Australian biotech company.

Craig specialises in the biotechnology and life science patent areas including biochemistry, microbiology, protein chemistry, molecular biology, immunology, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and pharmaceuticals.

His services include intellectual property advice, particularly drafting patent specifications and prosecuting patent applications throughout the world, advising on patentability of inventions,  carrying out due diligence on existing or pending patent rights and freedom to operate assessments. He also advises on global strategies for capturing, protecting, transferring and enforcing intellectual property rights.

Craig also has extensive research experience from the biotech industry. After receiving a Bachelors of Biotechnology degree with honours in 1997, he took up a position with Adelaide biotech company GroPep Limited as a research and development biochemist working on the development and manufacture of recombinant cellular growth factors for the US mammalian cell culture industry as well as the development and manufacture of biopharmaceuticals for the company’s drug development pipeline.
