Professional Experience:
Debbie has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and in providing validity and infringement opinions particularly in the field of telecommunications, and computer-related inventions, as well as more general physics-based inventions. More recently, she has worked with clients to secure patent protection in the new field of business-related inventions. She has extensive experience in the field of corporate IP management having worked as a patent attorney with Nokia Mobile Phones and as IP manager for Vickers PLC a ‘blue-chip’ engineering group with companies as diverse as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, a defence contracting business and a healthcare equipment manufacturing operation. She has also worked as a European Patent Examiner and has a working knowledge of French and German.
