A fantastic opportunity exists for a qualified Patent Attorney or advanced Trainee Patent Attorney to join the Electrical, Electronics and Computer Technology team at Wray and Associates.
Upon joining this firm you will be exposed to a diverse local, national and international client base. You will be able to apply your skills and gain valuable and extensive experience in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent and trade mark applications. You will also have the opportunity to provide opinions and to manage patent oppositions.
As a member of the Wray and Associates team you will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop technical assistants and to provide input into the direction of the team.
In order to be a successful candidate for this career opportunity you will be a qualified Patent Attorney, or close to qualifying, and have a tertiary qualification in Engineering (relating to electrical or electronic technologies), IS or IT, or Communications.

As the successful candidate you will need to be extremely well organised and be able to prioritise and handle a variety of tasks.
The role is varied, fast-paced and requires a sound knowledge of the Microsoft package, together with attention to detail and strong formatting skills. Duties include dictaphone & copy typing, proofreading of documents, database administration and data input, preparation and presentation of forms and other administration duties as required. You must be well presented, motivated and highly efficient and have previous secretarial experience. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your skills and become an important member of this professional and friendly team committed to providing the highest possible level of quality service.

| Trainee Patent Attorney - Chemistry/Metallurgy/Chem Engineering |

A fantastic opportunity exists for a Trainee Patent Attorney to join the chemistry team at Wray and Associates. Reporting to a Senior Associate in the Technology Group, you will follow our structured programme to gain National registration as a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney. During this programme you will be exposed to diverse local, national and international client base in Western Australia’s premier firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.
To take up this great career opportunity you will be qualified to at least degree level and will have a commitment to becoming a registered Patent and Trade Marks Attorney. Industrial or research experience in chemistry, metallurgy or chemical engineering would be an advantage, as would some progress towards registration, although neither is a prerequisite for the right applicant.
